i wonder if "Java 1.5 Tiger: A Developer's Notebook" will tranquilize me as to my previous code doesnt go vladaboum when i upgrade to version 5.

On the other hand, is thid book oriented to limited java connaiseurs?

it's not hard enough to serve as a reliable source of anesthetics when you hit someone with it I'm afraid

Unless you've done something weird your code should work fine under the Tiger.
There may be a few exceptions with strange but legal constructs using the ternary operator of method overloading but that's about all I can come up with quickly.

When you just run your old code, tiger shouldn't be a problem.

If you recompile it, there might be problems, if you used 'enum' in your code.

This will only be a problem if you recompile with -source 1.5, otherwise, it will be fine.
