Hi,

How can I invoke executable files in java ? (run programs)
P.S: the Runtime.exec worked , but only for programs with GUI, and i want to invoke executables with DOS window.

Runtime.exec() executes any program.

Runtime.exec() can't launch 16-bit or dos executables under windows. At least in Java 1.4. There may be some trick to run them.

What if you run an instance of command.com (or cmd.exe) and have it run the 16 bit dos programs?
