Which movies go along with these taglines? Some of these are pretty tough, and at least two of them are cult movies that may be a bit obscure to the mainstream. As always, search engines are for wimps.
  • In space, no one can hear you scream.
  • They're back from the grave, and ready to party.
  • They won't stay dead.
  • Herbert West has a good head on his shoulders... and another one on his desk.
  • We are not alone.
  • The night He came home.
  • They'll never get caught. They're on a mission from God.
  • Cute. Clever. Mischievous. Intelligent. Dangerous.
  • Who will survive and what will be left of them?
  • The first casualty of war is innocence.
  • Nobody does it better.
  • In Vietnam the wind doesn't blow it sucks.

ok I'll take a shot at 2 of them:
    10. The first casualty of war is innocence.
    - Platoon
    16. One Ring To Rule Them All.
    - LOTR

14 is not "Meet Joe Black".
    The following were correct however:
    1. Alien
    6. Halloween
    7. Blues Brothers
    8. Gremlins
    10. Platoon
    11. The Spy Who Loved Me
    15. Superman
    16. Lord of the Rings
I thought for sure some one would have nailed #5 by now. And yes, search engines do make it easy, but that kinda defeats the purpose.

You are correct sir, #17 is Tombstone. Good job, half way there. #13 is another one I thought people would have got right off.
Hints: #3, 18, 19, and 20 are older movies (#18 is pretty tough, but I think has one of the better taglines imho). Numbers 2 and 4 are cult movies, so may be a bit obscure to some (although they have both been recently released on DVD). Number 9 also has cult status, but is pretty well known. Number 12 is a very popular flick in this genre. Number 14 is a popular historical film directed by and starring the same person.
    1. Alien
    5. Close Encounters of the Third Kind
    6. Halloween
    7. Blues Brothers
    8. Gremlins
    10. Platoon
    11. The Spy Who Loved Me
    15. Superman
    16. Lord of the Rings
    17. Tombstone

Yes, Jaws it is. Another tagline for that movie was "She was the first" (it makes more sense if you remember what the poster looks like), but I always preferred the other one.

Numbers 9, 12, 13 correct (I actually thought Dave Vick would have got #12). Number 14, maybe, but that's not the answer I'm looking for.

More Hints: #3, #18, and #19 are black and white. Tom should get #3, #18 is based on a classic book you may have had to read in high-school, #19 is a seasonal classic.
#2 is a tongue-in-cheek unofficial sequel to #3. #4 is based on a story by a classic American horror writer, and like #2, also is meant to be tongue-in-cheek.

Still more hints since the last two are so tough. Here's a little bit of dialogue from both. Number 4 is based on a story by H.P. Lovecraft
    Dialogue from #2
    ----------------
Trash: Do you ever wonder about all the different ways of dying? You know, violently? And wonder, like, what would be the most horrible way to die?
Spider: I try not too think about dying too much.
Trash: Mm. Well for me, the worst way would be for a bunch of old men to get around me, and start biting and eating me alive.
    Spider: I see.
Trash: First, they would tear off my clothes...
Chuck: Hey, somebody get some light over here, Trash is taking off her clothes again.
    ----------------
Burt Wilson: I thought you said that if we destroyed the brain, it would die.
Frank: It worked in the movie!
Burt Wilson: Well it ain't working now Frank.
Freddy: You mean the movie lied?

    Dialogue from #4
    ----------------
Herbert West: Who's going to believe a talking head? Get a job in a sideshow.

    ---------------------------------
    Amazon.com Editor Review of #4
    ---------------------------------

... Jeffrey Combs furrows his brow and bugs his eyes as the preternaturally intense Herbert West, a maverick medical student whose gory, gooey experiments cause bloody corpses and body parts to jerk to life. Bruce Abbot is the studious roommate drawn into his extracurricular experiments, which soon involve the dean's daughter (the frequently naked Barbara Crampton) and the college's cadaverous, calculating star professor (David Gale), who literally loses his head over a battle for West's discovery. In this world, that's only a minor setback. ...

Okay good job folks. Ya got the last two. Have many people actually seen Return of the Living Dead and Re-Animator, or am I one of the few? Absolute classics. Actually all on this list are definitely worth watching if you haven't seen them (although I can't stand It's a Wonderful Life and The Sound of Music). And if you see Lord of the Flies see the 1963 version, the new one was crap.

    Round 2:
    1. A monster science created - but could not destroy
    2. His adventure on Earth
    3. Everything he touches turns to excitement!
    4. A brutal murder, a brilliant killer, a cop who can't resist the danger
    5. TODAY- the Pond! TOMORROW - the World!
    6. Where were you in '62?
    7. Prey for the hunters
    8. I hate him! I love him! He's a scoundrel! He's a saint! He's crazy! He's a genius!
