My wife and I have decided it's time for us to give our kids an introduction to human sexuality.
Anybody know of a web site that might feature pictures of the people's innards so we can print them out and use them to help describe what's what? Something like what you find in a doctor's office or what's being used in school ...

Go to Toys 'R Us and get one of those Invisible Man and Invisible Woman kits. Then it becomes a science lesson also .

How sure are you that they haven't been introduced yet? You know TVs, VCRs, magazines, and *ahem* internet are all powerful media. Heck, they can even learn it from Sesame Streets

That's just it. They know a bit already. After all, we do have farm animals.
It's just time to do the first pass of education. Talk about the basics. In a few more years, maybe we'll cover more in depth stuff.
For now, it would be cool to have a picture or two.
Cindy - how much are those things? I was just thinking of getting a pic or two off of the net and printing it.

I think that they are around $18 dollars, but it has been quite a few years. They really are reasonable quality and the have realistic plastic parts for all the "inards" - so it really does give them a good intro to anatomy.
We just got the Invisible Woman and let them imagine the rest .

Superman gets bored fighting crime everyday. So one Friday night he decides to go out in the town to have some fun. He drops by Batman's house.
"Hey Batman", he says. "Wanna' go out tonight?" "No, I can't", replies Batman. "The Batmobile is broken and I gotta stay home and fix it, or else I won't be able to fight crime."
"You loser", says Superman and flies away. He decides to stop by Spiderman's house. "Hey, Spidy, how about hitting the town tonight, you and me", he says.
"I'd love to, but I can't", replies Spiderman. "My web is broken and I gotta' fix it to fight crime."
Superman, all disgusted, says "You loser. Stay home on a Friday night and fix your dang web". Then he flies away.
While flying from up above, he spots Wonder Woman stark naked and lying down on her back spread-eagle. Superman thinks, "Hey, I am Superman, I can fly down there at the speed of light, have a quicky, fly back out and she won't even feel it."
Superman flies down, does a quick-in-and-out and flies back out at the speed of light.
Wonder Woman says, "What the heck was that?"
The Invisible Man says, "I don't know, but it hurt like hell."

Sort of like a "model car", but of a human being, with separate parts for all the organs. A little plastic heart, plastic intestines, etc all covered by transparent skin so that you can see the "innards". Kids can put them together like a puzzle.

You can usually pick up a copy of "Gray's Anatomy" fairly inexpensively; covers ALL the "innards". There are also a couple of books, "What Every Girl Should Know" and "What Every Boy Should Know" that covers sexuality in children on the verge of adolescence. If your children are somewhat younger, there should be some good material in a Channel 6 Store of Knowledge, if you have one near you.

Hey Paul, I can send you some of my x-rated soap. It is anatomically correct.
