I'm struggling with getting my first ever Java app into an executable jar file that I can run on any machine with the JRE installed. I've got my app into a jar that actually runs, but it requires another package to do serial I/O, and it barfs on that:

Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: javax/comm/CommPortIdentifier

This code runs fine when I don't have it in a jar, but rather just execute it normally. How can I get the javax.comm stuff rolled into my jar file so that it is just there when required?

Thanks.

Perhaps javax.comm is missing on the target-Platform?

It is somewhat new, but looks like belonging to an up to date jre-installation.
