hi, is it possible to have .java become an executable, .exe?
May i know how to do it?

Have you looked into making executable jars? This would be preferrable to making an exe, as the jar file is still OS independant.

thank you, Tad. i just looked into executable jar, one more question: the .java file requires some additional external libraries in .jar. May i know how to include the external libraries in the executable jar and set the classpath for the client before executing the main application?

oh, i just found it: stating class-path in the manifest file.
