Hello,
I've deployed a webservice on the tomcat server. But to access it, I use http://localhost:8080 e.t.c e.t.c. My question is, since this web seRvice is deployed on a web server which is connected to the internet, will it be possible to access this web service from another internet connection besides my own? i.e , I dont want to use localhost but maybe, an ip address or something similar. I want it to be accessed by everyone on my LAN. Please help.
I've posted on the web services board without a satisfactory reply. My computer name on the LAN is igwe and I can ping from other machines to mine. So how can I access a web service that I am hosting on a tomcat server on my machine from another machine on my LAN? Thanks very much. Please a more detailed answer would be extremely welcome rather than vague statements. Thanks.

You are unlikely to get a better answer than the one JeanLouis gave you here on Feburary 17. I don't know how you read "Replace localhost by your IP address" as a vague answer. Why don't you try it and post the URL that you attempt to use.
