I never got past the "front page". It seems to want to install some sort of Active X control which (a) doesn't work with many browsers and (b) is a big security hole so many people (myself included) have it disabled.
All I could see was some sort of starfield and two links asking what speed of connection I have.
I have to say that as far as site design goes, all of this is a problem. The site is not at all welcoming, it gives no idea of what it contains, or anything which might attract someone to enter. If the first thing a visitor sees is a question, most visitors will just go somewhere else, as I did.
Can you explain to us what the site is supposed to be about ?

I clicked on the skip intro and enter link and it was broken. If this is supposed to be a commercial site alot more work is needed.

This is a strong candidate for "websites that suck" contest

I hate sites that play music!!! Some of us are at work and would prefer silence when we are browsing. The rest of the site looks like a bad 1996 design.

Frank, consider yourself lucky for not seeing the rest. I can't remember the last time I saw a rainbow-colored site.

the site more or less worked for me using mozilla. i have many complaints about it too though. first it is bad enough you ask a question on the first page but i had to scroll down to even see the question. the java applets didnt load but that is my browsers fault. to be fair i should try it in IE. ok it worked much better in IE. i didnt have to scroll to see the question about my interet connection speed and the applets seem to work. i still very much dont like it. i dislike flash intros in the first place..it is just a waste of time. why not display the main page right up front? and the main page looks pretty gaudy. here is the home page for one of my sites http://www26.brinkster.com/javaguy/
think conservative.
just my opinion

I didn't have any problems with displaying, but ditto to just about every other comment.
And, when I clicked a link that was for "13-19 girls", it took me to a page for "7-12 boys". Likewise, the link for "trendiest Women" took me to "13-19 boys".
Come clean - did someone create this website as an example of what NOT to do?? Really!!

When the initial post in this thread was made I took a look at the front page and came to the conclusion that I probably wouldn't have anything positive to say about this site so I didn't go any further. Since then I have read some of the replies and found the feedback on the presentation to be entertaining and painfully appropriate. When I got to Elaine's reply the laughter turned to horror. If the content matches the page titles then it sounds like it is something that can't be legal. Did David Westerfield setup this site? I hope that someone will give the FBI a call. I'm sure that John Ashcroft would love to offer his evaluation of this site along with an arrest warrant.

This has GOT to be a joke. No one could mess up EVERY link unless it was on purpose.
Excuse me - I now have to go rest my eyes for a bit.

DAN -
Whoa boy! Sorry for the mix-up - I see now should have been more clear. The site seems to be selling things like clothes, music, etc. to target specific genders and ages. The links to the product areas were messed up.
Sorry for the confusion!!
...uhhhhh unless you were joking too??

Elaine,
OK. Now I'm laughing again. I didn't look at the site beyond the front page. I only saw the page titles that you quoted. I'm very happy to hear that they are only selling children's clothing rather than the children themselves.
Thank you for your clarification.
