Hi,
Apologies if this isnt the most appropriate forum, but since this gets more traffic than the java forum, I figure I'll get a (hopefully useful ) answer here faster.
Yesterday I downloaded the JDK 1.4.1 FCS for Windows from java.sun.com. Ive installed it on my Windows 2000 SP2 workstation as an upgrade from the current installation (JDK 1.4.0)
My installation procedure was as follows:
1)Uninstall 1.4.0 Webstart
2)Uninstall 1.4.0 JDK
3)Uninstall 1.4.0 JRE
4)Install 1.4.1 JDK
Now when I try and run Swing apps in Java using 1.4.1, I notice that a lot of the GUI Components have a nasty aqua-blue dashed outline. Apart from that everything works fine.
I reckon that I should have rebooted after uninstalling 1.4.0 to let Windows catch up with itself. Anyhow Im going to reinstall 1.4.1 and see if that remedies that problem.
Just wondering if anyone else has had similar problems with 1.4.1 FCS.
Cheers,
Mark

This. Exactly this. This is what my therapist has been talking about. And now with a tiny ad:
Java file APIs (DOC, XLS, PDF, and many more)
