What is this folder good for?
If a there are third party jar files (like driver files supplied by the vendor).. should i put them in the jre/lib/ext folder? or can i just have them in the lib folder of my app.war folder...??

is there any difference in these tow approches..?

Jars and classes placed in jre/lib/ext will be available to every java program running on your machine while the jars placed in lib folder of web application will be available to the web-app only.

If your server will not have the jar files, you should place these in the /lib folder of your web-app
