Recruiter: "I told them you would accept $25,000 a year salary and they want you"
Candidate: "Um, I told you I would not accept anything less than $100,000 a year, you doofus."
Recruiter: "Why are you wasting my time, I spent all that time for you to get you hired and you told me you would accept $25,000. If you had told me you wouldn't I never would have sent you. Now I am getting a bad reputation from the client. Thanks alot"
No personal experience there at all.

Here's how they start going when you hit your grumpy phase, which is when you need to work to stay stimulated but have no debt on your back that makes you worry (and therefore nice to people):
Recruiter: Ok, can you tell me what the Iterator class does?
Recruitee: I will if you can tell me why Iterator isn't actually a class, but an interface.
Recruiter: Ok, well that's not what it says here.
Recruitee: Oh, ok, but maybe it was a trick question, see? How would I know?
Recruiter: I get your point, but can you answer the question?
Recruitee: {pause} Do you want me to answer what's probably on your paper, or something that would be, oh how shall I put this" "correct"?
Recruiter: (laughs, maybe) Well, if you can tell me what's written here, at least I can verify your answer that way.
Recruitee: Ah, makes sense. Tell you what: I would never expect you to know the answers to these questions yourself, but since what's written there is more credible than what I said, let me ask you this: if I answer according to that paper, what kinds of jobs do you have in mind for me?
Recruiter: Oh, well, there's lots of things out there...I guess it would depend on how good your answers are.
Recruitee: Yeah, see, my feeling is, it won't depend on that at all. Thank you for your time.

Why is the Iterator an Interface and not a class?

Something I got from one of the search engine optimization services spammers yesterday:
Hello do you know SAP? We have some oopneings in Germany and switzerland. If not can you pass on some names of your peers that have SAP experience?
The good news is the current economy will weed out this dumb recruiter population..

Doody calls. I would really rather that it didn't. Comfort me wise and sterile tiny ad:
