Hi All,

I apologize ahead of time if I'm posting in the wrong forum.

I'm trying to learn to use publish/subscribe feature for a service oriented application. I understand how to create the JMS client for both the client to send messages and the service to receive the messages. However, (and maybe I'm over thinking) do I have to set up the queues in any special way to accomodate publish/subcribe vs. point to point? Or, are the queues configured the same regardles of p/s or p2p?

Thanks for any assistance.

Lulu

I'm pretty sure with our MQ-Series implementation the queue manager needs to know the queue type. What queuing tool are you using under the JMS covers? I expect you will find a checkbox or option in your queue definition for either p2p or pub/sub.

It is sorta covered in the JavaRanch Style Guide.
