automatically oppen the application!  RSS feed

Hi guys
i have an application that reads from a text file (x.sen) this text file contains data (like properties, colors...)
is there a way to let the program oppen when the user double click on text file? (windows)

You need to create a .bat file which starts your program. If you then doubleclick the .sen file, a Windows dialog box should come up that asks you which program you want to use to open the file. Navigate to and select the .bat file, and click the "always use this program to open this kind of file" checkbox, and from then on you should be all set.

Thanks for the fast reply,
do u know how to associate the .sen file with the .bat file? from the Dos prompt (sorry since now this is a Window question)

Not the dos prompt, but it can be done from cmd.exe prompt.
Lookup help on internal commands assoc and ftype (help assoc, help ftype)
