Hi all,
I am using Eclipse3.0 with jdk1.5 but when i try to declare an ArrayList like this... List<
String
> test= new ArrayList<String>();
I gives error pointing to the token < that needs to be deleted.. So wht needs to be done.. is my code correct or not..

Your code is probably correct.
You need to tell Eclipse that you are using JDK 1.5 and not 1.4 .
Go to the properties of your project, and select
Java
compiler from the menu.
In there change it to JDK 1.5.

You need Eclipse version
3.1
or newer, because version 3.0 does not have support for Java 1.5. So upgrade your version of Eclipse.
