I'm studying up on the petstore these days.
The path to a file I'm researching is:
C:\myJava\petstore1.3_01\src\waf\src\controller\com\sun\j2ee\blueprints\waf\controller\web\action\actions
That's fifteen layers of directories.
Am I missing something, or is this crazy?

That's generally what happens in distributed development efforts across multiple archive standards. Sorta like a file-system version of what XML does to content.
