I have heard that Java is not completely Object Oriented. Can somebody clarify this basic question for me?

Perhaps they were referring to the fact that primitives are not objects. In other arguably "more OO" languages everything is an object.

Use the forum search to look for this question. It comes up often ... maybe the beginning of every school term?

In short: Nobody can define a "perfect object oriented language" and we don't usually care much just how close we are. Java lets me do most of the things that are good about OO, including earning a paycheck.
