Hi,
I have an application developed on jdk1.5 on Windows xp. The application was running fine on Windows xp using jre1.4.

I am now trying to run it on AIX platform. There is a jre installed there already. (Java folder created was java131). I transferred my application from Windows to AIX usin WinSCP in byte format. I am trying to run the application when it is throwing an error.

Exception in main class noClassDefFoundError: /java/nio/BufferOverFlowException

Before throwing this exception it was giving me noClassDefFoundError for log4j after looking into the main class. I solved it and then it is giving me this error.

Please help me in this regard.

Regards,

The java.nio package was introduced in JDK 1.4, so your application won't work on JDK 1.3. If you're not using java.nio directly, perhaps log4j is using it.
