Hi,
I'm having strange problem with my computer (Dell Dimension) modem. I'm not able to connect to internet. When I test the functionality of modem using modem magager it gives following results :
Modem : OK
Loopback : Failed
Does anybody know about this problem ? Is there any temp/permanent fix for this ?

I had similar problems..the test gives the result as "ok" but it still does not work,or the comp hangs.One thing u could do is either RE-load the drivers etc again or as in my case the problems vanished only when i reinstall Windows.

I've had two different Dell laptops with that problem; the only reason I don't have it on the third is because I've never tried using it.
Dell modems. Bleck.

Did you try calling Dell's customer service? They should be able to help you. Usually they are quite helpful on the phone.
