hi ranchers

I am developing a project in jsp using tomcat5.5.
as soon as I installed tomcat5.5 It was demanding jdk1.5 instead of jdk1.4
I downloaded jdk1.5 and then tomcat get installed .could any one of you Please tell me what advancements are made in JDK1.5 over jdk1.4.
It is very urgent
Please let me know if you are aware.

All JDK version have release notes that explain in detail the changes that have been made. Those for JDK 5 are here.

Note that most question are urgent: EaseUp

As to your question, the jump from 1.4 to 1.5 is pretty significant and the individual differences are too numerous to list in a web forum.
There have been many articles posted in Java sites as well as in magazines.
There are also quite a few books on the shelves that cover JDK1.5.
If you earn your living coding Java, it would be a good idea to pick a few up.

Lastly, since question pertains more core Java, I'm going to move it to the Java In General (Intermediate) forum where such things are usually discussed.
