hi everyone!

Could anyone please give me the exact meaning of the statement System.out.println();. All i know the moment is that this statement prints to the output stream.

So what i want to know is: what are the terms System, out and println taken individually?

System is a class which has out static variable referring to PrintStream class. println is a method from PrintStream class.

System is a class in the java.lang package. out is a static field in System of type PrintStream which is in the java.io package. println is a method defined in PrintStream.
