Hi All,

Can some one please tell me what all the person is expected to know when he/she claims that he/she knows core java?? specifically do Swings, AWTs come under core java ??

I don't think that there is any agreed upon definition for "core java", so it's likely that different people will expect quite different things. The easiest thing to do would be to not claim such a thing without being more specific about what you mean by it.

Why do you ask?
