Hi there,
is there anyway to know if the string has been already encoded?

Thanks in advance

I don't understand the question. Strings are always encoded in unicode in Java.

Do you mean "How do you tell if a String has already been interned"?

I've already solved, I had a method which updateds the user object and it was in charge to encode the password, in case he set a new one, but that was not a good idea, because if he only changed the address, for example, the password would be then encoded two times.

SO I decided to create a task dedicated only to the password change.
Thanks anyway for your interest.

A more specific word than "encode" is "encrypt".
