Hello All,

I Know most of you know this fact as on mouth tip...but i don't

I wanted to know that at what time jvm started, when i compile a program , or when i run the program and how many times it will get started.....
[*]if suppose i am running two java applications by two command prompts on the same machine then JVM Started will be only one time or 2 times....
[*]same thing when i run one application by some IDE (say eclipse) and 2nd one from other IDE/Command Propmt then 2 IDEs run JVM diffrently.

Every time you start a Java application, you are starting a new JVM. There can be multiple JVMs running on one computer at the same time.

So if you run two Java applications, there will be two JVMs running. The same if you run one from an IDE and another from the command prompt.

Note that the Java compiler itself and Eclipse are both also Java programs. So if you run those, a JVM is also started.
