Hi,

I have a java application which will continuously run and montitor the server's performance. I want to run it as a window service on Windows 2003 server.

I have created a batch file with the java application and tried with ServiceInstaller, but it failed to register a batch file.

Could some one help me on this?

Thanks in advance.

Hello "sri"-

On your way in you may have missed that we have a policy on screen names here at JavaRanch. Basically, it must consist of a first name, a space, and a last name, and not be obviously fictitious. Since yours does not conform with it, please take a moment to change it, which you can do right here.

As to your question, I'm not familiar with ServiceInstaller, quite a few options exist.

You can use some third-party wrapper to use the Java Application as a windows service.

It is sorta covered in the JavaRanch Style Guide.
