Does that include...
Design Patterns ("The GoF Book") by the Gang of Four (Erich Gamma, Richard Helm, Ralph Johnson, and John Vlissides)?
The Pragmatic Programmer by Andrew Hunt, David Thomas, and Ward Cunningham?
Patterns of Enterprise Application Architecture by Martin Fowler, David Rice, Matthew Foemmel, Edward Hieatt, Robert Mee, and Randy Stafford?
Software Architecture: Organizational Principles and Patterns by David M. Dikel, David Kane, and James R. Wilson?
Complete Java 2 Certification Study Guide ("RHE"), Second Ed., by Michael Ernest, Philip Heller, and Simon Roberts?

i take it back . but mostly 5x5 authors (full of photos on front cover), will ensure that they are confusing you enough and sleep is the ideal escape route.
Wow, thanks for the list.
but frankly i like
analsysis pattern more than the GoF. Even "UML Distilled" is having only 2 authors.

GoF is boring. Don't have the others so couldn't comment.
Trying to read this at the moment

& have fallen asleep 'at the wheel'

Really? Chacun a son gout, I guess -- when I discovered it four years ago I couldn't put it down. But then again, my wife thinks it's totally bizarre that I take tech books to read before sleeping as a means of relaxation
