Hi All,

Can anyone guide me to the possible solutions to the problem where the distributed application is written both in Java & as well as .Net & the session needs to be maintained across both the platforms.

Thanks in advance,
Sourin.

Sourin,
You could store the date on the file system or a database (assuming they are on the same box.)

Hi Jeanne,

The problem here is that they arent on the same machine. So this solution would have severe impact on the performance of the application. I was looking for some other alternatives.

First I had thought of trying to use XML based SOAP or some other Web-Services but then the client is asking not to use web-services (i dont know why he said so but now my manager wants it the clents way only). So, i'm trying to find if there is any other method to accomplish this task.

Regards,
Sourin.

It is sorta covered in the JavaRanch Style Guide.
