Hi,

I'd like to know what do you think about the wikis exist over the Internet: wikipedia, and many others. Will this book talk about how to integrate these several data resources to my Java app?

Thanks

Chapter 4 of the book covers the area of the different kinds of contents that are available in a typical web application. It presents the technical details on how to model different content types, especially those associated with collective intelligence: blogs, wikis, and message boards.

Chapter 6 of the book shows how you can harvest content from external sites such as Wikipedia (there is even an example of crawling Wikipedia), while Chapter 5 focuses on harvesting information from the blogosphere. Once you have the content you can apply the various techniques described in the book to extract intelligence.
