What's the strangest thing anyone here has eaten?
I just had dog soup for lunch, more out of curiosity than anything. Can't say I'll be back for more...

In India its common at the street side joints. If you find that the stray dogs are missing within a few weeks of the joint opening up there, you know for sure that someone is enjoying "Dog Tikka Masala". Only that they think they're having Chicken Tikka Masala. :-)
Besides that, the best dish I've had is Lamb Brain. I stopped eating that though after the Mad Cow disease scare.

Its always amused me that the curry houses in England list chicken, lamb, prawn, vegetable and 'meat' dishes on the menu. I assume that the 'meat' dishes are just a mixture of meat bits so why not just say so...?! Instead, the restaurant staff get subjected to claims by the pissed-up-after-11 crowd of serving dog and cat.
More weird food - I watched two Korean women tuck into a couple of boiled fish heads the other day and they were loving them! I felt a little nauseous after.
And I watched some guy eating still-alive baby octopus. After cutting the tenticles off they still squirm about and wrap themselves aound the chopsticks! People have choked to death eating this dish as the suckers still work. Now there's animal justice!

Do Western people eat liver? In Russia it is even better than "normal" meat, and I did not see too many people enoying it in the USA.

My mum used to make me eat liver with onions, sausage, gravy and mash (when we was poor). Its very popular (as is kidney) in the UK. However I don't eat it nowadays except as pate because I'm sooo bougeoise.

Hey Don, why is it that you never see a garbage recepticle around a Chinese restaraunt? Come to think about it you never see any stray dogs or cats around them either.

I'm from NZ, my mother (both my parents are from UK) also tortured my sisters and I with liver, onions, bacon and mash potatoes. I think it's the reason my sisters became vegetarian

We have those as pub snacks called Pork Scratchings. Lovely name, like we took the what was under the trotters of an itchy pig and fried them up!
The best part of a pork roast is the crispy skin/crackling I think. I want to open up a hog roast restaurant in Korea, I think they'll love it.

Why don't you try it in Saudi Arabia instead?

Great idea. And when I'm publically flogged every week, I can fry up bits of my flayed skin. I'm sure Infidel Scratchings will go down a treat there!

So Richard, wanna join the Infidels of JavaRanch? I can put in a good word for you. I mean anybody willing to sell roast pork to the Saudis meets my criteria as an infidel. How about selling Jack Daniel by the shot and Hustler at your Oasis Cafe? You could be president of the Infidels then.

Great! Then I'll open the Braised Beef Bonanza Take-out in Delhi and the Giddy-yup Horse Steak Ride-through in Austin, Texas.

Correct. We can only stomach the greasy, salty snack with a belly full of warm, brown beer.

I can see selling seared bovines to Hindis, but Texans eatin' horse flesh! Now that's scarey.

Do you accept bribes? If I am ready to give a bribe, this means I am not a real infidel, or I would not need to bribe. But doesn't the fact that I am ready to give a bribe makes me infidel?

All bribes accepted, we even take all the major credit cards. But we do prefer to call it orginizational dues instead of bribes. True Russians (not Uzbeks, Chechins, etc.) are by definition Infidels just look at Eugene's status as the number 2 guy.
