i am generating my MANIFEST.MF with maven-jar-plugin to reference outside third-party libs. but it is making problems (as told in http://www.nabble.com/classpath-entries-in-maven-archiver-generated-MANIFEST.MF-cannot-be-referenced-td17229567.html).

two things, where i am sure you can help out:

1)
to investigate further i would like to run a MANIFEST.MF validation tool to ensure that it is correct. i looked for it in google but could not find any. if existing where can i find such a tool?

2)
if a library classpath entry in MANIFEST.MF is correct (library does exist relatively to main-jar), why could an inclusion go wrong?

thanks for your help.

most likely it has to do with the lightweight jetty container, which somehow handles classpath entries the wrong way.
