Please clarify following points from JLS.
1. Strings computed by constant expressions are computed at compile timeand thent retaed as if they were literals.
2. Strings computed at run time are newly created and therefore distinct.
Please give code sample please.

When I do training of the new rookie programmers at work I've found that they hate asking 'stupid questions'.
Well I now begin ALL my classes by letting them know that "The only stupid qustion I know, is the one you DON'T ask me".
Keeping that in mind..
What the heck is JLS? I've seen it all over this board but I don't know what the acro stands for.
Thanks.
