java in general (beginner)

Dear friends,
I have a fluid dynamics code in FORTRAN, I want to develop interface in JAVA and want to run code still in fortran. Is it possible to run the code in Native or is there any other way to do this.

Can u be more specific in what u want. U can write functions in other languages and integrate that with java using native methods. In this way java can be used as an interface. The code will run in FORTRAN itself. U can see sample C or C++ functions written and integrated with java. try the same methodoly with FORTRAN and see if it works.
