They were hunted out of England because they caused too much damage to our annual banana crop. They're gone from most of Europe too, though they occasionally turn up on the border of France and Poland.

In the Zoo yes. The local zoo here has 5 of them. My 18 month old likes to pet  them, although he insists they are Dogs.
Actually he insists all animals are Bhow Bhow (dogs).

The wild elephant roams freely throughout the US. Just yesterday I shot an elephant in my pajamas. How it got in my pajamas I'll never know! The best elephapnt hunting is in Alabama because in Alabama the Tuscaloosa.

Actually the only elephants in the Americas are in zoos and circuses.

Every once in a while, there's this big pink one that walks thru my living room. He trys to sneak a drink from my Jose Cuervo while I'm not looking.

I spent a few months in Malawi years and years ago. I still remember the sign post in a game reserve stating "Elephants have right of way".

In my department it is white, it looks more like a mouse than an elephant,
but, man its enourmous. Huge as an indian elephant, so I would count it as elephant, too.
A bit scary sometimes.
And it is sneaking lots of drinks.
