Anybody picking up the new book today?
I've read the previous four books. Twice.

I picked it up for my wife today. She has read all the others. I read book 3 after I had seen movies 1 and 2. Havn't started on book 4 yet.

I'm reading the 4th one now... but I have to go to Barnes & Nobel later today to pick up the 5th one for my husband.
I think its great that just as many adults read them as do kids...

I have read all 4, and can't wait to get my hands on book 5.
But I am going to be a good boy and wait till Saturday June 28th after I take the SCBCD Beta exam. Otherwise I will get absolutely no studying done.

My daughter has no interest in Harry Potter. She is a Nancy Drew reader. She will read any mystery but wizards and dragons have zero interest for her.

Looks like you've got a budding young software engineer there, interested in concrete solutions instead of fantasy. Mine on the other hand wants to be a lawyer.

My daughter picked up two books, ostensibly one for me and one for her, but now she tells me that I can't have my copy until Monday because she's reading one copy and her husband is reading the other copy.

That is exactly what my daughter wants to be! Of course she is only 10 so there is a long way to go before we get to law school.

Up to chapter 14 on mine already!
Have taken 3 days off work next week so I can sit and chill out while I read it ... of course it's my birthday tomorrow too so that's the excuse I gave my boss

Got my copy from Amazon on Saturday. I started reading it last night and Im about 6 chapters in.
I was hoping to hold off reading it until next week as Im heading off to travel the States and it would be handy for the flight over, but I dont think I'll be able to resist until then!
The HR lady at the company I currently work for got her copy on Saturday, and shes already finished it!

I will be very happy as long as she stays away from computer programming.

My wife and I each picked up a copy Saturday at about 12:45 am. I finished it yesterday evening. Needless to say, I didn't get much sleep this weekend.

I've got a friend who recieved he copy at 2:45 pm and was finished by 8:30 pm Sat.
As for me, I'm waiting until July to get my copy. July is Double Points month at Waldenbooks, and if I renew my Preferred Reader card I get double double points. So it makes sense to me to wait until then, and do a big book-buying expedition.

I almost broke down last night. I was about to go to the bookstore to pick it up. But I was good. I knew that I needed as much studying this week, and having the Potter book would get me to not study.

sneakily read the first two chapters the day before release and filled in my daughter on the details.

Looks to be as good as the others tho' HP seems very angry....guess it's all those teenage hormones.

Am now a little over half-way through ... it's bloody addictive, well worth the wait.
Took the day off work and am rather annoyed as I turned on the TV this morning just as Steve Wright decided to reveal who dies .. GAH!

Im hoping that anyone who has read the book already will not spoil it for the rest of us by revealing that plot point.... Anyhoo from the sounds of it Steve Wright deserves to be dragged out into the street and shot!

Maybe they can start a practice together? Mine is interested in criminal defense. She really wants to make sure everyone gets a fair shake. I doubt I can dissuade mine from doing whatever she wants. My wife and I are both somewhat stubborn and Angel inherited all of that and then some.
