Hi,
im doing the cattle crive assignments, and notepad keeps inserting tabs for me when i specifically type in spaces. I was told to come here because there would be ppl here who use other text editors that dont insert tabs for you. Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks

Synedit - the BEST of all the free editors out there! (And I have tried many!!!)
http://www.mkidesign.com/synedit
Lets you convert tabs to spaces, has syntax highlighting, project management, etc...ALL the features you would expect from a high-priced, professional-level editor! And, it's FREE!

I like ultra edit, but ya gotta pay for that...
However, I've stumbled across JEdit, and I kinda like it. Its written in java swing, has on the fly checking of validity, (though I haven't tried that yet).
i think you can get is at sourceforge.net
