Hi all!
This is Liza Misra.I am new to Java and the ranch as well.I would like to know the proper way to submit the assignments.I completed the 1st assignment hundred.java and sent it to nitpick@javaranch.com .Is it the correct way?

Welcome Lisa. If you decide to take the Cattle Drive http://www.javaranch.com/cattledrive.jsp dont forget to "register" yourself on the Assignment Log http://www.javaranch.com/ubb/Forum19/HTML/000332.html
Registering simply means posting a message on the topic (see 2nd url above) when you submit your 1st assignment. When you then submit another attempt or new assignment simply edit your first posting.
Pse remember you can only submit a new attempt/assignment once the "nitpicker" gives the OK.
If you have any questions dont hesitate.
ps : this is a standard mesg I send to all new Cattle Driver's, but it does not mean I dont mean the welcome
