hello,
I hate the Dubyaman strip that is published by The Time of India. It is dull , boring , stupid and senseless.

What do others feel

Was Times of India ditributed free to everybody in world on that day?
Which day? which edition?[And Times of India is not a good newspaper to read, few months back they openly started a scheme of sopnsoring the news without declaring it in the news]

I understand that it is largest selling newspaper in karnataka. Youngsters simply love this newspaper.

Its interesting to note that more and more people are turning towards "The Hindu" for their news. Having been brought up in Chennai, the heart of The Hindu publication it is indeed my source for Indian news too.
Also interesting to note that the more conservative Hindu is gaining popularity while the openly liberal Times Of India is losing ground.

I only visit newspaper websites. I used to read TOI when I was in India. Now I dont like Times of India and seldom go to its web site.
For news I go to www.rediff.com.
For masala news I go to Hindustantimes.com

I think its me only
and the students preparing for IAS in Delhi who read The Hindu.
No doubt its a good paper, but sometime it becomes too boring with too lengthy articles and editorial.
At that time I pick TOI to fresh my mood.
[in todays paper, there is pic of model in sports section, who is cheering cyclists, but no pic of cyclist
I remember, Amir Khan's divorce was main news under India section in TOI ]

In Bombay (Mumbai) they have a daily suppliment 'Bombay Times'.On the first page there are seminude models then some NGOs working for physically challenged kids. Then on page 2 ,there are party pics, besides some story of hobbyist who has <some prime number> snakes in his home.On page 3 ,some political hoodlum explaining problems of the city and how to keep environment clean.

Indian Express is the best newspaper.
They are the ones who are talking about the real issues. Just two examples of their investigative journalism:-
- Exposed Petrol Pump Scam
- Exposed Bofors Scam
I wonder why they sell less than the big three (TOI, Hindustantimes, The Hindu). By far it is the best newspaper around. I guess because they are never popular with the ruling governments.
How come we always have Vajpayee inaugurating functions for The Times Group or Hindustan Times but never for Indian Express.

Here marketting plays role.
You can have best washing powder in the world in the cheapest price, but it does not gaurantee sale of the product.
Good marketting can sell anything to anyone.
