Hey Bill, Just wanted to put up my end of the bargain since you nitpicked my first assignment.
I'll send you another attempt at 1a.

Welcome Gerald. Dont forget to "register" yourself on the Assignment Log http://www.javaranch.com/ubb/Forum19/HTML/000332.html
Registering simply means posting a message on the topic (url above) when you submit your 1st assignment. When you then submit another attempt or new assignment simply edit your first posting.
Pse remember you can only submit a new attempt/assignment once the "nitpicker" gives the OK.
If you have any questions dont hesitate.

Johannes,
If I sent in 1A (5th attempt) and 1B at the same time (because I finally thought I mastered 1A), does that mean that I wouldn't get nitpicked on my assignment? I sent the assigment Monday morning and haven't heard back, and I'm wondering if it's because I broke the rules. - I hope not. I really appreciate the feedback I've been getting so far.

Brian, I think I was nitpicking your assignments, and I don't think I ever got 1a. Send it to nitpick@javaranch.com again just in case. Last time I see I sent something out to you was on 3/21
As a general rule, if you haven't received something in 3 days, then you should post something in the forums. At least for the first few assignments. For some of the later OOP assignments which are a bit longer, it will take longer to nitpick also.

Bill,
Thanks. I sent 1a to nitpick again. I didn't post a whole new thread because I didn't want to seem like I was complaining. I know the nitpickers are pretty busy. I greatly appreciate your time and nitpicking.
Brian
