Hi,
I guess this may not really be a java problem, but it is preventing me from doing any further java related jobs.
Many programs as JMSActiveX need Run Time Environment even during the installation. However, after I download j2re1_3_0-win.exe and do the installation, I always failed at the end and get message as
"Error while creating JAR file, check you have enough disk space, see c:/winnt/temp/uncrunch.log for details".
In fact, I have more than 10GB free disk space.
I had no problem with my NT but always failed at my W2k system, which is connected to LAN. Has anybody met similar problems or just know the solution? I desperately need some help on this.
Thanks a looooooooooot.
Chris

here is my uncrunch.log:
Running uncrunch
lpCmdLine = "C:\Program Files\JavaSoft\JRE\1.3\tmp\rt.out" "C:\Documents and Settings\ross kaminsky\Local Settings\Temp\pft31~tmp\disk1\\rt.jar"
Crunching from C:\Program Files\JavaSoft\JRE\1.3\tmp\rt.out to C:\Documents and Settings\chris ben\Local Settings\Temp\pft31~tmp\disk1\\rt.jar
Temporary file = C:\Documents and Settings\chris ben\Local Settings\Temp\pft31~tmp\disk1\\rt.tmp
File rename failed

Is your drive perhaps partitioned?
I really have no experience with Win2000. Perhaps there is a parameter stating how much room the temp directory can have - and it is not big enough??
