When I try to run a program, it gives me error - "exception in main thread - NoClassDefFounderror - myprogramname" The progam has compiled without errors. I have added the directoy where my program is in the dos path & still it's giving this error. Any ideas??
Please help.
Thanks!

Is the class file in your classpath? Or better yet, have you SET your classpath yet?
Go to the DOS prompt and type
>set
and see if there is a classpath parameter and what it is set to.
The path parameter is just for executables. the classpath parameter is for classes that you want the JVM to find.

Don't get me started about those stupid light bulbs.
