Take some sun screen - its gonna be hot this time of year. Go to Wenceslas Sq and climb the clock tower there. Go up the hill to the castle. Walk lots, especially by the river, and you'll find nice little nooks and crannys. Buy a guidebook - it'll help you find places to go/see. Drink REAL Budweiser (Budvar) - in fact try all their beers. The trams are good and will take you lots of places. I've been warned that the taxis are often crooks, so don't get one on your own at night. If you like lead crystal glasses, buy them here - they'll be good quality and cheap. Try to find a restaurant called Palfy Palace ( if its still open ) - amazing food in a restaurant that looked like a film set from Dr Zhivago. They seem to have lots of classical music concerts, but I was too busy trying the beer... Read that guidebook that you bought - Prague has amazing history and was spared a lot of desctruction so you can almost feel the history of the place.

If you want a cheap hostel and want to party, try the Hostel Clown and Bard http://www.clownandbard.com/. It's in an area outside the centre so is much less touristy which means the prices are much lower (pint of beer about 50p, quality meal for 3). Try the pub in the park just along the road, v.good.
When you want to go the centre to do all the touristy things just hop on a tube - takes about 15mins.
It's a good laugh !
