Hi, I'd used 1.2 in the past and I've been using 1.3 recently. I want to know what's new in 1.4 ?

Check out this recent thread. Ivor did a nice job of outlining what's new from 1.3 to 1.4.
Hope that helps,

There are many new features JDK1.4 brings to us. These include web start, the new I/O APIs, logging and preferences, etc. Among these, impressing me most is XML support, regular expressions and assert statement.
