Hi,
I was looking at this RMI Factory http://www.itec.uni-klu.ac.at/~harald/ds2001/rmi/factory/factory2.html
It has a class which "extends Serializable". I didn't know you could extend an interface.
Why would one want to? What's the significance of doing so?

If it said "extends" then the code you were looking at is for an interface, not a class.
You are right, a class can't "extend" an interface, it "implements" an interface.
However, an interface can "extend" another interface.

You're right. It is an interface extending an interface. Thanks.
