Im gonna create a little Java game, but Im out of ideas.. Everything I want to do is too complex for the level of knowledge I'm at, so I have to settle down with something very simple and basic.. Pong, Tetris, Arkanoid seem simple, but Im not sure how to start.. I want to make a game similar to those, but I will absolutely modify and change it into my own idea, based on their creation.. However, I am having trouble getting a start, dont know what to do, where to start, can anyone help me?
found two nice, and simple-looking games that I want to recreate..
Problem is, where do I start? Heck I cant even get a line of squares to keep adding squares whenever it touches an object..

hi C Ho
Assume you choose a title
When you start to design the game, you should consider which format you want, application or applet?
And the tool is used to play such as keyBoard, mouse ...etc
If you know how to draw a UML,draw it first may be better.Because it give you a general idea how to identify object and related attributes.
Hope this help
