Not sure how many australians hang out here. The indians will be there by this weekend. do u expect us to compete? ofcourse we know that one of our guys will but am doubtful about the rest.
The Indians always get thrashed Down Under, just like the Aussies have never been able to win a test series in India. I think one of the primary reasons for this is the fitness factor. The Aussies are power hitters, they have the strength to hit a six in SCG. I faint simply looking at the photo of SCG (Sydney Cricket Ground), I dont know if the cricket teams fares any better.. Anyway I like to watch a good match.. and the only team that is capable of competing with Aussies in Australia are the South Africans.

It was tri-OneDay series.. And no doubt Australia is best team now in world. South africa is good also but I think India and SA can be out at same level with Pak.

Indians drew a series 1-1 in Aus. in 1979. Yeah Kapil was in it along with the famous four spinners. Apart from that I remember only two series that India won ""abroad"". The 1971 *sunny victory against the Windies (1-0) and 1986 against the David Gower's army (2-0).

Oh I should have avoided triword. AW tri-one day series the one day series in which 3 countries participate. One day are played in one day and test match is played for 5 days. Now days because of fast pace of life people prefer one-day matches more than test matchs.

cricket is really a collaborative game. if bowler collaborate with batsman,batsman will hit boundary or sixer.if batsman collaborate with bowler,batsman will turn out by giving a catch or be bowled!!.it's a test of collaborative ability of players. better collaboration,better cricket.but it needs better planning before starting the match.that is called 'matchfixing'. i wish the viewers also start collaborating to make cricket more wonderfull and enjoyable. --- basha

I would rather say some of out guys will! Sachin, Dravid, Sourav & Laxman all have the talent. So, I expect some good innings from them. But I wouldn't bet all of them delivering good at the same time to win a match! That's the problem

You can hit a six effortlessly, if you time the ball well! No need for physical fitness (I'm not talking about the pinch-hitters here). The problem is that the Aussies bowl too well that you can't time your shots

Good news: Changes in ICC rules Seeing the grossly unequal matches between India and australia, ICC has formulated special rules in India - Australia matches. Here they are 1. Team Composition: There shall be severe restrictions on the australian team composition. Any player having the name Ponting, gilchrist, or hayden cannot be part of the team. There can be no more that 9 players in the australian team. For the Indian team, there are a few relaxations: There shall be 25 members of the team, of them 11 will be batsmen, there will also be 10 bowlers, and 2 coke/pepsi representatives and 2 bookies. 2. Match duration: (india - 50 overs, Australia - 25 overs) If india bats first, and as expected score lesser that 200 then the indian score will be doubled. That is, a score of 180 becomes 360. If however Indian team gets out for lesser that 150, then the indian score will be 320. of Score greater than 200 by indian team is not considered possible, so no rules have been formulated in that case. Australia will have to make the runs made by india in half the number of overs that India gets. To save the valuable faces/ bodies of indian players, dangerous hitting by any aurstalian batsman will not be allowed. That is if an australian batsman hits a bowl by an indian bowler, the speed of the bowl after it leaves the bat shall not be more than 20 kms per hour. If that happens, 5 runs would be deducted from the australian team score. If the australian batsman gets tempted by the delicious indian bowling and hits a six, 25 runs shall be deducted from the australian team score. Hitting 2 consecutive sixes means a ban for two matches. 3. Toss -- There shall be toss of course. If ponting wins the toss, then india will bat, and if ganguly wins the toss, then also india will bat. 4. LBW -- no indian batsmen can be given out lbw under any circumstances. However, when India is bowling, if by chance any bowler manages to hit the pads of an australian batsman, he shall be given out lbw. 5. Bouncer rule--- any bowl of an australian batsman over knee high would be considered a bouncer. 6. Missed catches win the matches--- For every two catches missed by an Indian fielder (specially Laxman and Bhajji) one australian batsman should be given out. And which batsman should be given out is all not in the discretionary powers of the umpire but should be done in consultation with the two batsmen on the pitch at that time (to ask them that who would give the sacrifice). Otherwise critics may call it unjustified and fingers will be raised on the umpires. 7. Field Restrictions--- Aussies should not be allowed to save more than one four (or boundary) in every 10 overs. If they do so then one of the players will be given a red card, and the team will then have to play with 1 player less on the field. Again the decision is not to be taken by umpires on their own but Captain of the Indian team should be allowed to choose the one who should leave the ground.In case any australian fielder is seen doing this regularly, inspite of warnings by umpires, he might even be given a year long ban.....this is a serious offence when playing against India in India.

It reminded me of an Indian tour in early 1980's after which people started saying "call 23001206 (not sure of the exact number) to contact Mohinder Amarnath" because in that series Amarnth scores were 2,3,0,0,1,2,0,6.
