anyone listen to The Proclaimers?
The lyrics of their earlier songs suggest they were going places.
"When you go-o-o-o , will you send back a letter from America".
"I'm on my w-a-a-ay" [Shrek]
There are some tracks on the link if you feel like catching up.
Under the Videos link - I'm Gonna Be, Letter from America, King of the Road.
"Blood On Your Hands from Somewhere new" -
"Unguarded Movements" - brill.
regards

Anyone know who wrote/sang the original "These Unguarded Moments"? Elvis?
I would hedge bets on it originating in Nashville, Tennessee.
Nashville sounds an interesting place to visit.
Springsteen
"Nashville on a Wednesday evening, a night when thousands of Baptists, Methodists, and Church of Christers around town regularly gather for midweek services. No steeple, however, drew as big a throng as the one that assembled to hear the Boss' testimony at the arena last week. Springsteen, of course, wasn't peddling passage through the pearly gates "I can't promise you life everlasting, but I can promise you life right now," he vowed at one point. But that didn't stop him from carrying on like a down-home preacher--pleading, testifying, and engaging his choir (his band) and congregation (his audience) in one rousing call-and-response after another."

will check it out.
I'm currently running Linux and the world doesn't cater to Lynxes. I don't seem to be able to run freebees like QuickTime in Linux. Seeing as I like to have music on at the same time while working I may have to dig out the old CD player. It just doesn't feel the same without some interactivity. Y'know feel an experience and chuck it out to the world and someone having the same experience responds
Has anyone heard of this new invention :
"Do you feeel a sense of hopelessness when you read of yet another tragedy otr disaster in the news ? Do you feel guilty that you are powerless to provide any real help for those who are victimised or abused ? Would it help at all if you could share their pain ?
If so, www.unbehagen.com might have an answer with it's WiFi-SM:"WiFi-SM is an internet connected wireless device that you can fix on any part of your body . It automatically detects the information from approx 4500 news sources world wide, updated continuously and analyses them looking for specific keywords such as death, kill, murder, torture, rape, war, virus etc
Each time the text contains one of these keywords your WiFi-SM device is activated through the WiFi network and provides you with an electric impulse."
P2P technology (Pain-to-Pain), makes you feel less guilty.
All a joke of course. Won't it be a surprise if someone does it for real ?
