I'm trying to compile the "bankutilities.customerdatapackage" package located in C:\bankutilities\customerdatapackage\CustomerData.java
I go to the command line and have the following:
C:\j2sdk1.4.1_05\bin>javadoc -d bankutilities.customerdatapackage
I get a status dump, but no documentation is generated in the package directory. What am I missing in my command? Or should I be looking somewhere other than the package directory for the documentation?

Since the base of your package is in C:\, I suggest you try
C:\>javadoc -d . bankutilities.customerdatapackage
