can anyone tell the actual differences between different servers we use for java apps or suggest some good URLs regarding.

Hi Bhramaresh,
There are lot many servers are available if ur talking in term of J2EE complaint servers then all follow some standards or say J2ee standards so an Appliaction developed on one works with others too.
I have worked with few pls check this
1.Weblogic by BEA (i think this is the best my personal view log on www.bea.com this is freely downloadable)
2.IBM websphere
3.Oc4j by Oracle
4.Blazix (if ur student and want to do basics download this is free with least space taken)
Finally
5. Apache Tomcat is always there.(u will get lot of help for this from net)
