I'm sure this has already been addressed, but since I'm new to this I'm not sure where to look. I have just upgraded to XP Home, and since it does not have DOS or the DOS command line... how do I go about setting up Java and compile my work... If someone could at least point me in the right direction I would greatly appreciate it.
Thanks

Hi Rob,
Welcome to JavaRanch!
XP does, indeed, have a "DOS Box". Try looking under Start|Programs|Accessories|Command Prompt . If you can't find it there, if all else fails, use the "Run Program..." item at the bottom of the start menu. Type in "CMD" and press Enter.
