I do not know much about Java but will like to pick up things fast.
I was given a task as an assignment to solve in Java. Somebody suggested that the solution spot is Javaranch

I will be most grateful if you can help resolve this question:

I was told to implement Linear hashing scheme by using the following:
seperate channing for handling overflow using division method as the hash function
start with a file of 8 pages
using the first one thousand words of an english dictionary as data

It a data structure stuff

Could you please help figure this out or link me up elsewhere?

Million Thanks

people here are happy to HELP, but they won't do it FOR you. If you could ask a specific question, post the code you have written so far (and use the code tags around it by clicking the Instant UBB code button), we'll give you pointers.
It is sorta covered in the JavaRanch Style Guide.
