I installed netbean 4.0 beta (bundled with tiger, jdk1.5.0), when I try to compile an existing java project, I get the following error:

AgilentPanel.java:22: AgilentPanel is not abstract and does not override abstract method editFileName() in ConvertPanel

where ConvertPanel is an abstract class with the method editFileName(), and AgilentPanel try to override it because it extends ConvertPanel.

Is this a bug in tiger?

If so, how to report this to sun?

Thanks

Are you sure you are overriding it? Can you show us your code?

And, anyway, to help you decide whether it is a bug in Java, you can try compiling your code with another earlier JDK version.
